For 2021 we have added some upgrades to our popular Mark 2.5 Brahma design which include new basket with custom tooled spider adapter for better fit and clearances, carbon fiber dust cap and a 100% Nomex spider for better long term durability. These upgrades are on top of the completely revamped from the ground up design we implemented in 2018 which include utilizing a dual stack of Y35 Grade ceramic ferrite magnets and a fully finite element analysis optimized motor structure. Dubbed the Brahma Mark 2.5 Rev A we have successfully made the driver more compact than the original Brahma for the end user who may be concerned about mounting depth constraints, all the while improving the original legendary performance of the very first Brahma.

We’ve went back to the books on materials science and developed our own proprietary dual 8” progressive roll spider profile. We’ve tested many different blends of materials over the past 2 years and have settled on a 100% Nomex weave for long term durability. This technology is just one small piece of the redesign puzzle which adds up to allow us to keep the Brahma Mark 2.5 Rev A as sound quality oriented as possible, without sacrificing overall SPL output.

The Brahma Mark 2.5 Rev A carries on the world-class sound quality and tonal balance of the original Brahma while still being able to pump out insane SPL output. Doing all of the above in such a clean fashion can only be achieved using XBL^2 motor technology which is why we have stuck to our roots and continued the tradition.

We’ve spent a great deal of time in the design of experiments to further develop our XBL^2 enabled woofers bringing what we have learned along the way into our entire flagship XBL^2 lineup.

After countless hours and prototypes we have successfully updated the Koda series which now includes  a 250 watt RMS power rating, and in gap aluminum inductance ring, 2” flat wire copper voice coils, progressive roll spiders and stitched tinsel leads to prevent mechanical noise.

The 2023 Koda features 8awg push pin terminals for easy wiring, non pressed kraft pulp hybrid fiber blend cone body, a multi-layer foam surround and carbon fiber dust cap that keeps the 2023 Koda as rugged as possible for your musical enjoyment for many years to come.
